Head of Digital - London, York or Norwich

Here at Aviva, we are currently on the search for our new Head of Digital, who will focus on serving the total digital needs of the Life side of our business. This role would be a great fit for a senior leader who has worked for customer centric progressive service brand(s), and who can showcase the skills needed to plan and deliver large scale, complex digital initiatives successfully, alongside managing key stakeholder relationships, overall business demand, and critically timely delivery.

A bit about the job:
You will ultimately lead a Digital team of 18, ensuring the successful planning and delivery of all digital activity across our Life business. This team will be accountable for overseeing the implementation of key products and feature development for our Direct Wealth, and Health and Protection businesses, plus you will also collaborate extensively with our COO and Operations teams to deliver a ‘One plan’ that serves the total operational needs of the business across telephony, back office and digital. It will also be key that you successfully create a culture that balances delivery needs with the innovation required to make a step change in performance.

Aviva introduced “smart-working” in 2020 and encourage flexible working; however, the successful post-holder will need to be based a commutable distance from either our London, York or Norwich offices.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- A highly skilled and experienced Digital Specialist, who has a successful track record of working for Big Brand(s)- Someone who is an inspiring and innovative Senior Digital leader, who is used to managing, motivating, and developing large digital product teams- Superb stakeholder management skills - i.e., ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional senior leaders- Commercially savvy mindset, and excellent attention to detail- Track record of delivering digital solutions & projects successfully matched with the ability to inspire multiple teams to mobilise
