**Position Summary**:
The Building Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, addressing tenant concerns, and ensuring that the property remains in good condition. The role typically involves a variety of tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general repairs.

**Key Responsibilities**:
***Routine Maintenance**:

- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address maintenance issues.
- Perform minor plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.
- Handle carpentry tasks, such as fixing doors, windows, and cabinets.
- Maintain the exterior of the building, including landscaping and snow removal.

**Repairs and Troubleshooting**:

- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants.
- Diagnose and repair issues with appliances, fixtures, and building systems.
- Collaborate with contractors for more complex repairs.

**Safety and Compliance**:

- Ensure all maintenance work complies with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Conduct regular safety checks and maintain fire safety equipment.

**Administrative Tasks**
- Participate in budget preparation and monitoring, ensuring departmental expenses are within approved limits.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance requests and completed work.
- Manage inventory for maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with management and tenants regarding maintenance issues and schedules.

**Qualifications**:
**Experience**:

- Previous experience in maintenance, handyman work, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.

**Skills**:

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to handle manual labour and work in various weather conditions.
