Warehouse Receiver

Receive materials daily by unloading and moving products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment (i.e. valves, fittings, etc.)
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in a safe and effective manner to transport/retrieve materials to and from loading areas and warehouse locations. This includes the completion and documentation of pre-operational checks on assigned equipment.
- Operate loading devices to load and unload materials onto and off loading areas.
- Organize and maintain accurate records for receiving and shipping of materials.
- Ensure warehouse and work-space is well organized and clean.
- Complete and document pre-operational checks on assigned equipment.
- Clean and lubricate equipment as necessary.
- Ensure loads are legal weight.
- Ensure all equipment has proper safety equipment in place.
- Other activities such as opening containers and crates, filling orders, taking inventory, weighing, sorting, checking materials, packing, and unpacking.
- Write any required manila tags for material being received and complete any embossed tags on the embossing machine
- Acting safely, within site rules and guidelines.
- This position may be required to direct, coach, and mentor others.
- Perform other general labor activities.
