**THE ROLE**

Reporting to the Restaurants Manager here at the Delta Calgary South Hotel, the Assistant Restaurants Manager is a key player in ensuring the execution and delivery of the day-to-day operations of the hotel's 2 restaurants. This role is continually improving guest satisfaction through interactions in the restaurants and ensuring the execution of all functions are occurring in line with all Marriott standards and guest expectations.

**THE DAY TO DAY**

**Summary of Responsibilities**:

- Maintaining a high degree of visibility and presence on the floor, and actively participating in the day-to-day operation of the restaurants.
- Develop relationships with both internal and external guests to enhance the potential for repeat business at the outlets.
- Addressing service issues to ensure satisfaction for all parties involved.
- Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with guests, fostering loyalty by acting as a host both personally and through the team.
- Assist with the implementation of effective onboarding and training for staff on customer service and responsibilities.
- Ensure a consistently positive guest experience and that service is delivered to high customer service standards.
- Assist in developing and implementing cost saving and profit enhancing measures.
- Assist in ensuring par stock levels are maintained and proper inventory controls are in place, counting inventory, and ordering supplies.
- Provides leadership & coaching to the team to ensure standards are being maintained and exceeded.
- Daily usage of Micros Simphony, Ameego, Avanti payroll, & Marriott Global Source systems.
- Administrative duties as required.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to ensure exceptional guest experiences by providing feedback and suggestions on guest expectations, product quality and consistency.
- Daily inspections to ensure cleanliness and product condition standards are being met.
- Ensuring marketing and promotional programs are implemented and kept up to date.
- Member of the Health & Safety Committee, working to provide a safe environment for employees and guests.
- Lead by example and provide clear directions to employees.
- Ensuring the successful execution of the restaurants events that happen in each outlet.
- Scheduling the outlets effectively, to ensure labor targets are achieved.
- Required to work the hours necessary based on business levels.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
