We are hiring a Regional Sales Manager in support of the Canadian region. This role will participate in the strategic planning process and tactical execution to drive profitable sales growth for PLZ’s Distribution business in branded and private branded product lines.
- Directly responsible for achieving sustainable, profitable growth for the company’s distribution division with assigned customers.
- Where applicable, manage manufacturer’s rep group(s)
- Identify new customers and new products opportunities within industrial, automotive service, automotive detailing, and cleaning markets.
- Achieve net sales and margin budget targets for the year.
- Execute on divisional pricing actions and goals.
- Build and execute launch plans for new products within your region.
- Use Dynamics CRM as a primary tool to organize customer specific information including key contacts and opportunities.
- Manage sales pipeline through Dynamics CRM.
- Develop plans and strategies to capitalize on opportunities which meet/exceed the division’s sales goals
- Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide business plans to address risks and opportunities
- Collaborate internally on all projects Develop relationships in relevant departments within the account to ensure PLZ is the supplier of choice in applicable categories.
- Compile relevant information and data related to customer and competition
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop value added initiatives to increase sales profitably
- Conduct in-person meetings with customers and partners to develop key relationships

Qualifications:

- Bachelor degree, Sales/Marketing concentration, or equivalent experience
- 7 years of experience in distribution sales, especially industrial sales
- Proven successful sales performance
- 30% travel
- Proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
