**Position Overview**

We are seeking a **highly skilled and experienced Test Lead** to drive **quality assurance** and **test automation** across multiple enterprise-level projects.

This role focuses on **Service Virtualization**, **API Automation**, **Messaging Middleware**, and **Core Java**, while providing **technical leadership** and **team coordination** to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across initiatives.

**Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership**
- Design and implement **automated test frameworks** for API services using tools such as **RestAssured, Postman, or SoapUI**.
- Develop and maintain **virtualized services** using platforms like **CA DevTest, WireMock, or Parasoft**.
- Integrate testing with **messaging middleware** including **Kafka, ActiveMQ, and IBM MQ**.
- Write, maintain, and optimize **test scripts in Core Java**, ensuring modularity, reusability, and scalability.
- Ensure complete **traceability of test cases** to business and technical requirements.

**Team Coordination & Leadership**
- Lead and coordinate **testing efforts across multiple projects and QA teams**.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure **timely delivery** of testing milestones.
- Facilitate **daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives** for QA teams.
- Mentor and support **junior QA engineers**, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with **development, business analysis, and project management** teams to align priorities.
- Manage **resource allocation** and resolve team-level dependencies or blockers.
- Enforce **consistent QA standards, documentation, and practices** across all teams.

**Process & Quality Management**
- Drive **continuous improvement** in QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Participate in **defect triage meetings**, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Maintain clear **documentation and reporting** for test coverage, execution results, and defect metrics.

**Required Skills & Experience**
- **5+ years** of experience in **software testing**, with at least **2 years in a leadership or test lead role**.
- Proven hands-on expertise in **API automation** and **service virtualization**.
- Proficiency in **Core Java**, including OOP principles and test automation frameworks.
- Experience with **messaging systems** such as **Kafka, ActiveMQ, or IBM MQ**.
- Familiarity with **CI/CD tools** like **Jenkins, Git, and Azure DevOps**.
- Strong understanding of **SDLC, Agile methodologies**, and **QA best practices**.
- Demonstrated success in **team leadership, coordination, and stakeholder communication**.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- **Bachelor’s or Master’s degree** in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications such as **ISTQB**, **SAFe Agile**, or **Certified Test Manager**.
- Experience in the **insurance** or **financial services** industry is an asset.

Pay: $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
