**The Position**:
The Complaints and Investigations Coordinator position is critically important to the College because it ensures cases are meticulously being handled from investigation through to resolution. With your exceptional administrative and communication skills, you will ensure the public interests are being protected. Your time management skills will be utilized to their fullest as you balance your time between supporting the Conduct team in file and meeting management, supporting the processing of complaints and reports from intake to completion, corresponding with various stakeholders during the process, preparing and presenting case memoranda, and drafting the final decisions for the case. As a key team member, you will assist the Professional Conduct program in the disposition of complaints and concerns regarding misconduct, incompetence, and incapacity.

**What you will be responsible for**:

- Providing administrative support for the ICRC, including:

- meeting planning and scheduling
- developing and posting materials
- drafting meeting agendas
- recording and drafting minutes
- coordinating committee resolutions and disseminating information about the outcomes
- organizing committee training, and
- updating the public register respecting ICRC matters
- Tracking action outcomes of committee meetings and ensuring appropriate follow up
- Maintaining electronic case files
- Providing information to parties with respect to the investigations and resolutions processes (e.g., members of the public, complainants, registrants, legal counsel, investigators, mediators, and experts)
- Supporting the Director of Professional Conduct in managing complaints and reports from intake to completion, efficiently, and in accordance with legislative requirements
- Monitoring all activities related to assigned case files and taking timely and appropriate action ensuring benchmarks are being met for case completion timelines
- Preparing and presenting case memoranda to the Inquiries, Complaints and Reports Committee (ICRC), and drafting decisions of the committee
- Issuing decisions to the parties, scheduling cautions, tracking the completion of Specified Continuing Education and Remediation Programs (SCERPs), coordinating with external program providers as required and ensuring that the public register is updated as required
- Working with the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board (HPARB) for complaint files under review, responding to requests for information, submission of requested documentation for the review process, and attending HPARB case conferences and review meetings
- Drafting documents and correspondence as required
- Assisting with the preparation of reports to the Board and with the CASLPO annual report
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working effectively as a team member with mínimal supervision
