**Job Summary**

The Perioperative Data Entry Clerk is accountable for the processing of surgical booking requests for various areas in the hospital, such as the Operating Room, the Birthing Unit, Ambulatory Day Care unit, MAB Endoscopy Suite and the Eye Institute.

**Skills & Abilities**
- Data entry experience an asset
- Entry level in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
- Ability to multi-task, set priorities and work independently with mínimal supervision
- Attention to detail
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work with high accuracy and speed
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated problem assessment skills
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork

**Qualifications**
- Successfully completed grade 12 at minimum
- Medical terminology certificate
- Minimum 6 months scheduling experience with Meditech
- Two(2) years clerical duties in healthcare environment preferred
