**Overhead Door Sales Lead & Estimator - Relocation to Whitehorse, Yukon**

Reporting to the General Manager, Commercial and Residential Products, the Overhead Door Sales Lead & Estimator is the seniormost position on our Whitehorse overhead door team.

The incumbent’s mandate is to grow the business with an emphasis on quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability. The position is responsible for the sales of commercial and residential overhead (garage) doors, sales of service work and service / maintenance contracts, preparing estimates for overhead door projects, and selling related items to overhead doors (power openers, etc.). They will work closely with the Operations Lead regarding the scheduling of jobs and projects, fabrication and quality.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead sales and business development activities throughout Whitehorse and the Yukon Territory.
- Ensure job costing and estimating maintains margin and profitability targets, unless otherwise approved.
- Maintain an efficient, effective and economical inventory control system, ensuring that materials and supplies are available when needed.
- Monitor and review fabrication and installation activities, enforcing quality and customer service standards.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues and customer concerns or complaints.
- Communicate regular updates to the General Manager, Commercial and Residential Products concerning sales activities, results against plan, operational challenges and customer satisfaction issues, immediately escalating critical items as required.

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge of industrial, commercial and residential overhead doors, loading dock levelers, lift gates, etc.
- Experience with sales of construction materials or services and construction estimating and costing.
- Proficient in both written and verbal English, with the ability to undertake moderately complex technical correspondence and conversations, as well as to provide clear direction to project team members.
- Ability to review and interpret contracts, ensuring any additional work outside of project scope is identified.
- Experience with provincial, territorial and municipal building codes, contractual terms and conditions an asset.
- Adept at multi-tasking and prioritizing in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, working well under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Formal training or certification in an applicable construction trade, CDI Overhead Door Technician certification or similar professional certification an asset.
- Customer service oriented, with the ability to always represent Northerm in a positive manner, maintaining a professional tone and approach to both verbal and written communications.
- Integrity and accountability.
- Willingness to learn and maintain a high level of product and industry knowledge.
- A valid driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years driving
