**About the Role**
We are looking for a Retail Supervisor to oversee daily operations and ensure that our store runs smoothly and efficiently. This role includes supervising staff, maintaining inventory control, assisting with merchandising and staff scheduling. The Retail Supervisor will work closely with the Retail Assistant Manager and Retail Manager to meet store goals, foster a positive work environment, and ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
The role requires a flexible schedule to work days, evenings and weekends.
**Detailed Responsibilities**
**1) Customer service**:
- Assist in achieving sales targets by providing exceptional customer service
- Respond to customer inquiries and escalations
- Implement customer service standards based on best practices
**2) Staffing Supervision**:
- Participate in the supervision, training, and scheduling of store staff to ensure there is adequate coverage at all times
- Motivate team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment
- Provide mentorship to store staff
**3) Inventory and Merchandising**:
- Oversee inventory management, including restocking, ordering, and receiving
- Ensure that products are displayed in an appealing manner to customers
**4) Operations**:
- Follow compliance standards, including store cleanliness, safety, and appropriate cash handling
**5) Reporting and Analytics**:
- Assist the Retail Manager with the creation and analyzation of store data, including customer feedback, sales reports, and inventory reports
**Qualifications**:
**Education**:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Degree or Diploma in a related field would be considered an asset)
**Experience**:
- Minimum of 2 years of retail experience (Previous supervisory or management experience would be considered an asset)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience with merchandising considered an asset
**Knowledge**:
- Knowledge of POS systems
- Cash handling and daily opening and closing procedures
**Abilities**:
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to effectively organize time and schedules
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict management skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
