Mold Maker

We are looking to add an experienced Mold Maker to our team.

**Job Duties**
- Build and assemble plastic injection molds of all sizes (small, medium, large, prototypes)
- Complete understanding of hydraulics, manifolds, welding and spotting
- Ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency
- Ensure outputs meet production schedules, safety and quality standards, as well as customer needs
- Ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment at all times
- Follow manufacturing and processing procedures, set equipment controls, carry out production and inspection processes
- Maintain a clean working area free from dirt and debris between tasks and at end of day
- Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity, product quality, and safety
- Bolt, screw, clip, weld, solder, or otherwise fasten parts and components together using hand and power tools and equipment
- Cut, drill, sand, or plane materials for snug fit
- Grind, scrape, sand, or polish surfaces using abrasive tools or machines
- Communicate with supervisor, engineers, production control, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues
- Previous certification and safe usage of lift truck and overhead crane

**Job Requirements**
- Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and tools required in various assembly processes
- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labour
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
- 7+ years as a Mold Maker in a plastic injection manufacturing facility

**Work Conditions**
- Exposure to hazards associated with the industry/trade
- Use of required personal protective equipment
- Operation and use of necessary tools, machinery, or equipment
- Extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions
- Lifting, moving, or manipulating objects up to 50 lbs

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 - 60 per week
