Edmonton, Canada Western Truck Body Mfg. Full time

Western Truck Body ULC, a subsidiary of Federal Signal, has been a leader in the manufacturing of aluminum service truck bodies and accessories for over 60 years. **Requirements**:

- Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) preferred.
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication required and CNC programming
- Knowledge of Solidworks and nesting software preferred. Experience with Autodesk Inventor or equivalent knowledge of 3D software will be considered
- Strong working knowledge of ERP Systems and Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities include plan, design, organize and manage jobs from inception to delivery. To succeed in this role, you will have solid communication, organizational and time management skills and enjoy multitasking within a close-knit team environment.

**Design Duties**:

- Complete service truck body designs and BOM to company standards
- Work with Sales Department to identify and define job requirements, scope and objectives
- Work with clients on specific production details
- Collaborate with design team manager to monitor job progress and handle any issues that may arise
- Communicate with production manager and production coordinator to create and maintain comprehensive job documentation
- Monitor QC, milestones, and job progress and attend production meetings to communicate job status
- Plan and manage costs for each individual job
- Complete all documentation requirements in a timely manner to close completed jobs

**Experience**:

- Design/Project Management: 2 years (preferred)
