Prograin is seeking a Research and Development Coordinator to support its research and development operations, based in Oak Bluff, MB. In close collaboration with the Research and Development Operations Director and the Research and Development Technician, you will be a key player in the planning and execution of field operations for the western branch of Prograin’s soybean variety development program. The Research and Development Coordinator will be an integral member of a diverse team delivering new soybean varieties for Western Canada.

**Responsibilities**:

- Participate in the planning, coordination, and execution of soybean field research activities, including but not limited to:

- Experiment planning
- Site selection for research trials
- Data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Field operations such as planting, spraying, weeding, and harvest
- Collaborate with trial managers to ensure the delivery of high-quality phenotypic data
- Operate agricultural research equipment, including tractors, planters, sprayers, threshers, and research combines
- Utilize technology, including drones, tablets and computer software programs to conduct research trials
- Effectively communicate with trial managers, external collaborators, and coworkers
- Represent Prograin at sales conferences, grower field days and other agriculture events
- Provide support for other projects as assigned

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related field
- Previous experience in agricultural field research
- Ability to work with field equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent computer and technological skills
- Ability to work independently and multi-task
- Excellent time management, organizational, problem solving, and communication skills
- Passion to learn and be involved in R&D discussions
- Full time job - 40 hours per week, with additional hours and weekends during seasonal peak periods
- Ability to perform physical labour and work outdoors in varying conditions
- Valid driver’s license
