IT Field Technician

Wood River Internet is a rural Wireless Internet Provider supplying internet to customers across Saskatchewan. We are looking for individuals to help expand and upgrade our current rural wireless network in the Assiniboia area. We are seeking a Full-Time Installation Professional that thrives in a collaborative team environment while demonstrating attention to detail in the delivery of excellent customer service that builds on our company’s commitment to delivering high-quality service standards. Must be willing to travel to locations we are installing at that time. All locations will be in the surrounding area of Assiniboia.

**Responsibilities**:

- Installing telecommunications equipment on residential homes, businesses and towers.
- Climbing towers of up to 100 meters.
- Assisting with installations of internet equipment, including routers at customer sites and cabling.
- Expected to work safely and utilize safety equipment.
- Other various tasks around our shop and job sites.
- Furnish tools, materials and supplies to other workers.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance.
- Track all equipment and supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Experience with Cat 6/5 cable required.
- Familiarity with networking equipment and troubleshooting.
- High School Graduate.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask and work under pressure.
- Must understand the concept of excellent customer service and deliver on it.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently, show initiative and demonstrate a willingness to learn.
- Valid drivers license. A clean drivers abstract will be required to be hired.
- Must be comfortable working at heights - training will be provided, previous training is an asset.
- Able to work as a team and independently with mínimal supervision.
- Self-directed, proactive and hardworking.
- Ability to handle physical workload.
- Ability to work well in teams.

Pay: $18.50-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
