**Project Manager**
**Job Overview**:
**Surespan structures needs the assistance of a full-time experienced Project Manger with a minimum of 5-year experience for our Duncan plant.**
**Responsibilities**:
- Work closely with other Project Managers, Estimators and Operations Manager to minimize their need to do task work:
- Material take-off and tender document review;
- Purchasing and receiving materials;
- Change order pricing and documentation;
- Obtaining and processing of all submittals;
- Document management and control;
- Drafting minutes of meetings, contracts and correspondence.
- Ensure accurate and timely project administration including: pricing change orders, tracking requests for quotation/information, processing of shop drawings, document control, and communication to all stakeholders;
- Work closely with project team members to identify, develop, implement, and support cost-effective project delivery;
- Maintain effective communications such that all stakeholders are informed and up-to-date.
**Relationship Management**
- Contributes to the overall positive team culture of the organization;
- Effectively contributes to a strong team environment through assisting teammates in accomplishing mutual goals, supporting and promoting team spirit and cooperation;
- Proactively looks for improvement opportunities to job related processes and procedures and communicates through appropriate channels;
- Enhance relationships with existing clients, consultants, suppliers and trades;
- Project administration, including preparation, processing and tracking of contract and subcontract documents, communications, change orders, requests for information, shop drawings, operations and maintenance manuals and other project related documents;
- Filing and archiving of project documents;
- Expediting or coordinating information submitted by owner, consultants, trades and suppliers;
- All project documents including submittals, requests for information, site instructions, correspondence, minutes, etc. are complete, accurate and controlled;
- All submittals are processed in a timely manner;
- Changes to prime contract and subcontracts are priced in a timely manner;
**Performance Expectations**:
- Exercises logic, sound strategies and methods to solve problems with efficient and effective solutions;
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills coupled with ability to build and maintain positive and constructive relationships with diverse groups and individuals;
- Ability to extend and judge efforts required on more important priorities; can attend to a broad range of activities;
- Organized and able to multi-task to meet scheduled and unexpected deadlines.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 5 years experience in Project Management or applicable post-secondary training;
- Superior computer skills in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Power Point including the ability to learn new software as required;
- Experience in contract interpretation;
- Comfort with a corporate structure and the associated administrative and reporting requirements;
- Demonstrates strong customer focus at all times;
- Demonstrates integrity, strong initiative, work ethic, as well as a focus on safety and quality of work on a continuous basis.
- Sound knowledge of Structural steel & Precast Concrete Building & Bridge fabrication is an asset.
