Empire Communities has an exciting opportunity as an Intermediate Estimator with the High-Rise Procurement Team In this role, you will assist with the development and implementation of standards, procedures, and methodologies to optimize the construction cost planning and budget management practices. This is inclusive of providing cost consulting, quantity take offs and full project construction budgeting support.
This role is located at our Empire Canada Homes Head Office in Vaughan, ON.
**What We Are Looking For**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Construction Management or relevant field of study.
- Working towards PQS designation.
- 2-3 years of experience in estimating, quantity surveying or contract administration within the High-Rise residential construction industry.
- Knowledge in elemental cost analysis.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to interpret and take-off architectural and structural drawings.
- Knowledge of CIQS standard method of measurement - elemental / trade.
- Excellent knowledge of SharePoint, Excel, and On Centre.

What You’ll Be Doing Each Day
- Review and provide guidance on measurement of project statistics / functional areas.
- Practical understanding of high-rise construction methodology.
- Ability to prepare and complete trade /elemental take-offs based on preliminary design documents.
- Ability to prepare and complete trade and elemental take-offs based on tender/construction documents.
- Completion of estimates and reports ready for sign-off.
- Preparation and analysis of general condition breakdown.
