**What you’ll be doing**

Reporting to the Director, Information Technology, and under the direction of the Information Systems Quality Assurance Analyst/Team Lead, the Systems Analyst I (SA I) works with a team consisting of staff and a consortium of colleges sharing information systems, to provide escalated helpdesk support, testing and to assist with a number of current and upcoming information systems projects. To be successful in this role, the SA I needs to learn key information systems such as CRM, SharePoint and MS Great Plains accounting system and the business processes of BCCNM and its consortium partners.

The SA I role understands the basic configuration options within key systems and modifies and maintains these configurations, while identifying opportunities for system optimization.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Assists in modifying configuration custom settings for key systems to support desired business processes.
- Supports data migration into key systems.
- Supports investigation by impact analysis and/or narrowing down the identified issues.
- Identifies opportunities and recommends enhancements to existing processes and systems.
- Supports ongoing system testing; creates test plans for user stories, executes manual test cases and regression tests, runs, and adds new test cases to the UI automation test suites (debug).
- Assists in providing support to train users on key systems, and assists new employees to learn to use business systems when required (e.g. CRM training).
- Develops and maintains a broad understanding of BCCNM’s services and stakeholders. Builds expertise in core technology including Microsoft CRM and SharePoint.

**Your education & skills**
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science, Computer Information Systems (CIS) or BBA program with a concentration in Management Information Systems (MIS);
- 1-4 years of related experience; or the equivalent combination of experience and education. A co-op program experience is an asset;
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders with varied system knowledge;
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical thinking skills, in addition to keeping abreast of trends and best practices in information systems;
- Ability to talk to developers in technical terms and business users in plain language;
- Excellent interpersonal skills; approachable, with the ability to adapt communications methods to audience needs;
- Outstanding customer service skills;
- Ability to take both direction and initiative in generating and following through on tasks;
- Experience working in an Agile environment is an asset;
- Exposure to CRM systems, online ticket management systems and accounting systems is an asset;
- Experience with running automation (i.e. Jenkins) and writing test cases, debugging (i.e. Nightwatch) is an asset.
