A great opportunity to get introduced to the Heavy Equipment industry As the Shop Helper, you will assist the technicians and follow procedures in and around the workshop, lubrication room, paint booth, wash bay, warehouse and equipment yard as required. **This position is a 3-6 month contract with future potential to a permanent work placement.**

Please note, this position requires regular physical activity; walking, standing, crouching, lifting, washing in various climates/conditions

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with general servicing of site (workshop, lube room, paint booth, wash bay, warehouse, equipment yard)
- Ensure all areas are kept clean and organized, dispose of debris
- Regular Washing, cleaning and preparation of equipment and/or vehicles as required
- Assisting technicians as requested
- Operate and maintain tools, equipment and work areas in accordance with company policy
- Demonstrate and follow safety requirements at all times
- Other duties as assigned

**Competencies**:

- Highschool completion is preferred
- Demonstrated active listening
- Safety conscious
- Willing and able to perform physical demanding tasks
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
- Forklift license would be an asset but not required
