**Job Description**:
MEDFAR is growing and is looking for an Assistant Controller to join our Team. If you are seeking an opportunity in a growing company with a clear outlook on advancement, then this position is for you.

As an Assistant Controller, you will be working as part of the Finance Team within a fast-paced, fun and creative environment. Reporting to the Corporate Controller and working in close collaboration with the other Assistant Controller, you will help coordinate and manage the month-end closing cycle and ensure that the reported data is accurate and in accordance with Accounting Standards. Furthermore, you will participate in the implementation of new tools, and processes as well as lead projects that will help the team align with MEDFAR’s fast Growth.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Being responsible for the full accounting cycle, primarily that of the sales-to-cash cycle;
- Looking after team accountability on AR and AP processes;
- Overseeing invoicing and collection procedures;
- Ensuring financial reporting accuracy and timeliness on a monthly basis;
- Presenting financial data and variance analysis;
- Managing a team of Accounting Technicians;
- Maintaining the bookkeeping, compliance and journal entries as required;
- Helping with the corporate audit requirements;
- Contributing to the team’s knowledge and development by providing training and support;
- Collaborating with external departments to ensure adequate integration of newly acquired businesses;
- Support the Corporate Controller and the other Assistant Controller, in day-to-day operations and all additional requested tasks.

**Qualifications**:
**Contribute to our team with your strengths**:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or similar domain;
- 2-4 years of experience in a similar role, including team supervision;
- 3-5 years of overall pertinent experience in an accounting role;
- Great understanding of financial reporting;
- Excellent communication skills, written and spoken (French and English).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

**It's an asset if you have**:

- CPA designation or Candidacy;
- Experience within a firm;
- Understanding of SaaS Business Model;
- Knowledge of the accounting software Sage Intacct.
