Sales & Marketing Intern

Overview:
The Sales & Marketing Intern reports to the Sr. Manager, Sales & Marketing at FlyOver Vancouver and is responsible for supporting the planning and execution of sales and marketing activities at Flyover in Vancouver this summer. The Interns’ primary responsibility is to visit hotel concierges and other affiliates in the downtown core and around the city of Vancouver to build relationships and encourage our partners to sell the Flyover experience to their guests/tourists. This role provides a great opportunity for someone wanting more exposure to sales, marketing, and the tourism industry.

What is the compensation for this role?:
The wage for this role is $17.50 per hour and a full breakdown of benefits and perks will be broken down during the interview process.

What will you do in this job?:

- Visit hotel concierges and other affiliates to build relationships and sell the Flyover brand/experience. Provide them with marketing collateral such as brochures, coupons as well as drop off commission cheques.
- Set up new hotel concierges who would like to log in our IBE to sell tickets direct to their guests
- Be a brand ambassador for Flyover
- Host onsite FAMS for Travel Trade customers, media, and influencers
- Assist with logistics onsite for private events and group bookings
- Assisting with the launch of our newest film this summer
- Assist with the creationa of marketing materials (ie proofing, fact check, print coordination, etc)
- Assist with signage updates at the attraction

What skills and experience do you need for this job?:

- Experience in a marketing or sales role preferably in hospitality, restaurants, theatres, hotels, theme parks or resort environments.
- Ability to work independently with the support of the larger team, to execute plans as well as administrative tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills are essential including inter-department collaboration and relationship management
- Experience assisting in projects from conception to implementation.
- Proficiency in computer skills required, including MS Office, Sharepoint and Asana
- Resourceful, adaptable, resilient, and having a strong sense of self-awareness.
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to build & foster strong professional relationships required within the Flyover Vancouver Operations team
- This role requires legal ability to work in Vancouver.
