The Saskatoon Prairieland Park Corporation currently requires a **casual** Merchandise Supervisor for the SaskTel Centre.

Prairieland ensures casual staffing for the merchandise department at SaskTel Centre.

The work schedule will vary from week to week, based on events scheduled at SaskTel Centre, requiring merchandise sales. Opportunity to work in other departments within SaskTel Centre and/or Prairieland events available.

**Duties**:

- Receive staffing requests from SaskTel Centre.
- Work closely with the Event Staff Coordinator on placement of staff for the event (Designate booth captains for each merchandise area as required).
- Open communication with Event Staff Coordinator when staff are ill, late, or not showing up for scheduled shift.
- Ensure employees are properly trained for assigned duties.
- On site event orientation prior to start.
- Ensure employees are signing-in and out with Prairieland approved scanners and timesheets.
- Arrive in advance of event start time (as per SaskTel Centre request) to receive merchandise, divide merchandise, supervise set up of booths and prepare and distribute floats for booths.
- Attend all supervisor meetings prior to events, relay information to staff.
- Compile timesheets and verify accuracy of timesheets; scan completed timesheets to Prairieland after event.
- Inventory activities.
- Cash management activities.
- Fill out event shift reports and report all incidents to Signature Events Coordinator and/or Manager.
- Identify and address performance issues; resolve conflicts as required with support from Signature Events Manager/SPPC Human Resources.

**Qualifications**:

- Effective communication skills.
- Strong desire to provide exceptional customer service.
- Must be a team player.
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the inventory systems, an asset
- Experience with cash and handling large sums of money.
- Able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Analyze problems, provide information, and generate solutions with/to Prairieland and SaskTel Centre management.
- Able to work days, evenings, and weekends, with some overtime opportunities.
- On-site training available.
