If you enjoy being outdoors and working with others, we have positions available for experienced crew leads and crew members in maintaining properties in Durham Region.

Pay is based on experience in the landscape industry, running a crew efficiently, ability to work independently and effectively among other positive traits and experience you can bring.

Crew leads will need a minimum of 3 years experience in commercial landscape maintenance.

Duties will include keeping client properties looking their best through the seasons.
- Lawn & Garden maintenance, Pruning, Spring and Fall Clean Ups, Parking Lot maintenance.
- Planting annuals and perennials, mulching beds, power sweeping, power raking, aeration, fertilization.

Snow Maintenance - snow clearing and salting of commercial properties in the winter season.

Able to work independently performing daily tasks and also able to lead and instruct others on larger projects as they come up through the seasons.

Able to drive and operate company vehicles and equipment safely and effectively.

Crew leads must have experience in hauling open and closed trailers up to 20 feet and understand securing loads and equipment.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 3 full seasons of field specific experience equal to that of the position being applied for with supporting documentation and/ or references.
- Job specific education or training is an asset
- Valid G license is mandatory.
- Applicants must have the ability to work well in a team environment and individually.
- Self-motivated, hardworking, honest, mature, trustworthy and capable of performing duties to expectations under mínimal supervision is important.
- The knowledge and ability to operate all commonly used equipment and tools safely and with professionalism. Knowledge in plant material is an asset.
- Ability to complete routes/work orders/ tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Accurate and thorough in job completion.
- Punctual and dependable.
- Available 24/7 through the winter season for snow removal related work. Time off is available in winter.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions and ability to perform physically demanding aspects of the position.

We are happy to invest in our staff with any horticultural or snow services training that they may have an interest in. We provide OGS uniform items ( hats, t-shirts, sweaters, jackets ) and PPE items at no cost.

We maintain an up to date fleet of vehicles and equipment and keep our small equipment current to help you do your job. Our service area is typically Oshawa to Pickering to avoid having to be very far from our yard in north Whitby.

**Summary**

In the role of Landscape Maintenance, you will be responsible for the upkeep and enhancement of outdoor spaces, ensuring they remain attractive and functional. Reporting to the Landscape Manager, you will utilize core skills in landscape maintenance, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with hand and power tools. Your premium skills in irrigation, gardening, and horticulture will be essential in executing maintenance tasks effectively. Additionally, your relevant experience in construction will support various projects, contributing to the overall quality and aesthetic of the landscapes we manage. Pay: $24.00-$29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
