**IPAC Lead**

**The Opportunity
Under the direction of the Director of Care, the Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) Lead drives the
education and continuous improvement of IPAC programs in the home, conducts monitoring, and acts as a
liaison with Public Health for managing outbreaks. Participate as a member of the nursing management team
to provide coaching and support growth of team members, including responding to emergencies as part of the
nursing on-call rotation.
**What You Will Do**:
- Stay current with emerging IPAC research to
improve and update IPAC strategies; create,
implement and evaluate approved initiatives
- Oversee and coordinate audits, clinics, testing
and tracking, prevention measures, post
outbreak analysis and reports
- Identify needs, coach team members, and
implement continuous improvement strategies
** What You Will Need**:
- RPN Diploma or equivalent, along with IPAC
Canada Certificate and membership preferred,
or willingness to enroll
- Solid understanding of the FLTCA and
Regulations, Ministry of Long Term Care
Directives, the Registered Health Professional
Act, Narcotic Control Act, Occupational Health
and Safety Act, and other applicable legislation
- Knowledge of program planning,
implementation and evaluation, with proven
ability to impact change through role modelling
and positive influence
** What We Are Offering**
This is a permanent full time opportunity at the District. The annualized compensation range for this role
