Leading and managing the day-to-day bakery production operations
- Ensuring that the bakery is adequately stocked with quality baking ingredients and supplies
- Ensure freshness of all bakery items and food in a bakery
- Ensure that nutritional values are not lost in baking, processing or cooking items
- Ensure deliciousness in baked items to attract customers
- Resolving customer complaints in a professional manner
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in the bakery premises
- Ensuring that baking tools, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized
- Inspecting bakery items to ensure that established standards on quality, uniformity, and aesthetic appeal are met
- Ensure compliance of all food processing laws and regulations
- Adherence to the brand identity
- Coordinate with stores manager and other bakery staff in serving customers
- Developing and implementing advertising and marketing strategies to attract new customers
- Strategically arranging bakery items in display cases to encourage customer purchases
- Help identify staffing needs, staff planning, and schedule development based on work demands
- Creating suitable work schedules for staff members
- Appraising staff performance and carrying out the necessary disciplinary measures to address poor performance
- Training staff to produce high-quality bakery items while following proper food handling procedures
- Serving as a coach, leader and mentor to all staff members

**Requirements**:

- Degree in culinary arts or baking and pastry arts is advantageous.
- Proven experience managing a bakery in a retail-based environment
- Ability to positively affect bakery sales and profits
- A food handler's license.
- Sound knowledge of different baking techniques.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills.
- Excellent management skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
