Currently looking to hire a Fibre Optic Splicer for a permanent, full time position. This position involves all the facets of splicing including cable preparation, termination, fusion splicing, testing and troubleshooting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Splicing, testing, and troubleshooting of fibre
- 3/5 years splicing out in the field
- Documenting and reporting on completed telecommunication work
- Maintaining project and telecom safety documentation
- Inspecting routes and hub sites as preventative maintenance
- Ensuring all attended sites are clearly labelled
- Reviewing engineered plans and blueprints
- Obtaining and maintaining a great attention to detail
- Maintain Personal and Company provided tools
- Maintain good condition of company vehicles
- Rapidly Adapting to new changes that may occur
- Be Flexible for various work hours
- Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment

**Requirements**:
3-5 yrs experience in fibre optic splicing
Trouble shooting fibre optic issues
OTDR Testing experience
Work well will other technicians
Clean valid driving record ( in CANADA )
Ability to work on your own and also with a team
Familiarity with the tools, equipment and techniques of the trade
Must be Legally entitled to work in CANADA
Fluent in English
**Salary**: $25.00-$37.00 per hour
