Ottawa, Canada BG Excavating Limited Full time

BG Excavating Limited is hiring a **Foreman, Site Works** for our construction sites located throughout the **City of Ottawa**. Foreman's will be required to manage construction sites and workers in compliance with BG's Health and Safety Policy.

**Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- With direction from the Field Superintendent, the Site Foreman will organize the job site and crews to carry out the project plan.
- Run daily tailgate meeting with staff and promote safe working environment.
- Directly supervise all phases of the project and ensure quality control testing is complete and accurate.
- Assist with the coordination of machine and worker movement throughout the project.
- Attend project start up meeting with clients to establish suitable action plan for upcoming projects.
- Ensure accurate and daily reporting of labor hours, work completed and preventative equipment maintenance.
- Manage project documentation, such as: drawings, locates, and permits.
- Run various types of equipment as required.

**Employment Requirement**:

- 4+ Years of Experience in Heavy Civil Construction
- Working at Height & WHIMIS (or ability to obtain)
- CSA-approved Work Boots
- Posses a valid driver's license with a clean abstract
- Reliability or Secret Level Security Clearance is considered an asset
