Apprentice Carpenter

Interior Elite Contracting is seeking apprentice Carpenters for residential construction to join our rapidly growing team in Kamloops BC. The apprentice carpenter will work alongside one of our Carpenters and will be responsible for demolition, measuring, cutting, assembling lumber, and finishing carpentry. They will be responsible for installing doors, windows and hardware for construction projects as needed. At times, the apprentice carpenter will be asked to perform other construction tasks as assigned during times when there is no renovation work to be performed. The carpenter will be expected to work both independently and as part of a team, in indoor and outdoor environments of all types and travel frequently to various job sites to perform their work. The apprentice will be reporting directly to their Foreman in charge of the job.

Every carpenter is expected to be at the shop in the morning to go over that day’s tasks. Employees are provided with work vehicles to get around, work shirts and hats, all tools besides common pouch tools.

Opportunity for paid overtime and paid schooling.

Interior Elite Contracting requires that all employees must be presentable in appearance, act appropriately on all work sites, follow all Work Safe BC regulations, arrive to work on time, rested and ready to work. All employees are required to have a valid driver’s license and vehicle to get to and from work. All employees are required to have steel toe boots and appropriate work wear.

Full time employees are offered the option of extended health and dental benefits as well as life insurance after your three months probationary period.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Apprenticeship

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
