Pump Technician

Q2 Artificial Lift Services (ALS) has 40 repair and service facilities located across Canada and the U.S. Our service locations are supported by a world-class manufacturing operation (API & ISO Certified), plus a highly skilled engineering and optimization group.

We are actively seeking an individual that is motivated and mechanically inclined that would be interested in learning the bottom hole pump business at our Drayton Valley, AB location.

General Responsibilities:

- Repair and service of bottom hole pumps
- Willing to learn with a goal to understand all shop and office responsibilities
- Build and maintain relations with both existing and potential customers
- Shop organizational skills would be an attribute (clean, tidy, organized)
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Participate in On-Call schedule; schedule can vary depending on time of year and jobs that need to be covered.
- Travel from our Red Deer branch to location will be required on a regular basis, but you will be home every night and there is no camp work.
- We are looking for an individual that is willing to stick with us, learn, be reliable, be a team player, be fair, and participate in our long-term growth strategy for the Drayton Valley location.

Qualifications and Experience:

- experience with bottom hole pumps would be an asset but willing to train
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Have valid driver’s license
- Strong oral and written communication skills
