**About the position**:

- Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, TFS Shop will be responsible for the effective management of the TFS Shop. Duties and responsibilities will include:

- Outline of duties and responsibilities:

- Shop Responsibilities- Continually provide an exceptional customer service and shopping experience using best practices in retail and learning from other schools and provide a warm and helpful atmosp for parents and students.-
- Performs all functions necessary for the daily operation of TFS Shop including sales, stocking shelves, filing orders, receiving and checking purchases, maintaining an attractive and orderly shop and display areas.-
- Supervise the Shop staff, assign duties and plan the needs for additional casual needs during peak periods. Ensure the shop team receives customer service and product knowledge training to strengthen selling skills.-
- Create and maintain a shop schedule that allows for flexibility during peak periods as well as accommodate after hours events to reduce overtime and ensure efficiency-
- Develop and implement operational systems and policies for TFS Shop in consultation with the CFO and the Executive Director. of Community Engagement.-
- Working with the communications department, develop and implement an effective and efficient marketing plan to maximize sales, inclusive of in-store, special events, displays, pop-ups at events and other recommended opportunities.-
- Tender inventory items to manufacturers and supervise the design, manufacturing, quality control and delivery, and source new suppliers through a network of independent schools shop coordinators; working in coordination with the Business Office, Marketing Department and authority limits.-
- Purchase of inventory in accordance with qualified market needs and prescribed budget, while monitoring purchasing and selection trends of the market at TFS and in other independent schools, as well as the retail sector at large. Emphasis on quality goods that resonate with the community and reflect the brand will be critical.-
- Ensure adequate inventory of stock items and that effective inventory control procedures are in place.-
- Prepare and reconcile accounts payable documents, including P.O. s delivery slip, invoices for the TFS Business Office and arrange for payments to vendors.-
- Responsible for the financial responsibilities of TFS Shop including costing, systems and auditor inquiries.-
- Regularly report financial results and spending requirements to the CFO and the Executive Director of Community Engagement as requested.-
- Participate as a member of various School committees and maintain liaison with the School community in relation to the operation of TFS Shop.-
- Working with the Executive Director of Community Engagement and the Parent's Association, launch spirit wear that will reflect the school’s brand and encourage school pride.-
- Work with school departments to source appropriate custom items and gifts when required. Assist with the packaging and distribution of these items.**Who we are looking for**:
- Proven experience in a retail management role, ideally in an educational or community setting, with strong skills in sales, inventory control, and financial management.-
