Quality Specialist

**WHY DO WE NEED YOU?**
As a Quality Specialist, you will work under the direction of the Quality Manager providing support to all functions of Saint-Gobain ADFORS Midland to continually improve customer satisfaction, the efficiency and effectiveness of processes, conformance to specifications and compliance to internal, statutory, and regulatory requirements.

In this role, you will perform measurement, testing, and visual inspection of raw materials, in-process, and finished products to verify compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements. You will analyze results using statistical methods to identify improvement opportunities. Additionally, you will assist with developing, then implementing, auditing, continuously improving, and maintaining the Business Management System in accordance with international standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001), internal, and customer requirements.

You will be responsible for the management of Material on Hold process, investing, identifying, and containing product nonconformities and the disposition of such. You will also be responsible for the management of Monitoring and Measuring equipment processes by evaluating and registering devices, coordinating calibration and verification activities, and maintaining those records.

Other duties may include:

- Team-based root cause analysis of issues, development of corrective actions, and review of long-term sustainability of actions
- Assist in planning, execution, and reporting of the Audit Management Process
- Assist in the monitoring, reporting, and improvement of the Supplier Management Process
- Prepare and distribute quality metrics and reports as required
- Participate in the Saint-Gobain World Class Manufacturing program
- Prepare and distribute Certificates of Analysis for customer and regulatory requirements
- Other related job duties as assigned

**IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?**
- Technical diploma in a related field. Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
- Preference to formal quality education and ASQ certifications such as CQE, CSSGB, CQT, CQA.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of calibration principles, techniques, and equipment.
- Advanced investigative and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experienced in the preparation and conduct of product and process audits and reporting of audit results. Certification as ISO

9001 auditor preferred.
- Comfortable and experienced dealing directly with suppliers and customers
- Must have good interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work independently and proactively.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Working experience with ERP systems required. SAP preferred.
