CareKW is looking for skilled and reliable Occupational Therapy assistant to join our team to provide support to patients at local facilities and in our community.
**Location**: Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge

**Role**:
- Support an Occupational Therapist in helping patients with physical, sensory, or cognitive areas of
- Provide hands-on patient care and service to facilitate treatment and rehabilitation
- Assists clients in care activities as assigned by the Occupational Therapist
- Implement treatment plans and help patients perform therapeutic activities
- Monitor and document patients' progress, attitudes, and behavior
- Other duties assigned by the OT or supervisor
**Requirements**:
- Possess an Occupational Therapist Assistant OTA diploma from an accredited college
- Valid work permit (if applicable)
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification
- Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Up-to-date Immunization Records (MMR, TDAP, Varicella, Hep B, Covid-19)
- Excellent documentation skills
- Ability to follow client care plan accordingly
- Strong communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent patient service skills
- Reliable transportation
- Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle is considered an asset
