Here's how a **Scheduler** for our **Edmonton Buildings District **contributes to our team:
**Responsibilities**:

- Develops and maintains strong customer focused relationships with all stakeholders.
- Communicates with site staff and subcontractors to determine the actual construction progress, develop project schedules, and provide regular schedule updates based on provided information.
- Creates, maintains, monitors, and communicates/presents both the estimating and project schedules to the project team and district staff.
- Completes site walks to audit the short
- and long-term plans. Follows up with project team to validate the schedule.
- Supports the project team with the development and management of project planning and scheduling.
- Contributes in the planning and scheduling process through various construction phases (preconstruction, construction, system completions, etc.).
- Facilitates interactive planning and scheduling sessions with the project stakeholders.
- Assists project management to create and monitor short term schedules and determine the impact on the master schedule.
- Identifies and communicates schedule delays, impacts and variances to the PCL Baseline Schedule.

**Qualifications**:

- College diploma or degree in construction management, engineering or related field
- Minimum 3 years of construction experience with 1 year of dedicated planning and scheduling experience dealing with direct hire trades and subcontractors
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6 EPPM highly preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of the Critical Path Scheduling method related to the construction industry with the ability to teach
- Understanding of construction methodology and sequencing
- Ability to interpret information given regarding construction progress and delays
- Ability to complete quantity take-offs and understand productivity rates
- Effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under strict timelines while being flexible to changing needs
