**Job Overview**:
The Manager, Expanding Hope, ensures the mission, vision, values, and strategic plan of Terra are fulfilled while providing leadership and direction to Expanding Hope program. Expanding Hope is an initiative within Family Resource Networks (FRN) to serve the unique needs of pregnant and parenting teen parent families throughout the geographic area of Alberta. This position ensures that program development, capacity building and community stakeholder engagement is achieved. The Manager, Expanding Hope provide support and direction to the staff, for case/project management, performance coaching, ongoing staff development, program outcome and evaluation, data management, and monitoring trends/issues.
**Job Conditions**:
This is a full-time position; 35 hours/week 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, however hours of work will vary based on the needs of the position and agency. This may include working occasional evenings and weekends. Primary work location will be Terra’s west location, but will have virtual responsibilities and travel amongst sites as needed (10320 146 St NW).

- **Leadership and Management Responsibilities**_
- Develop and implement the new Expanding Hope model and assist in creating the evaluation plan.
- Be a leader, ambassador and champion of Terra Centre for Teen Parents by practicing in a manner that is consistent with Terra’s mission, vision, and values, policies, strategic goals, and code of honour.
- Coordinate Human Resource tasks for the full lifecycle of employees, from leading in the recruitment process, overseeing staff orientation, to assisting employees exit the agency.
- Ensure administration and operations of program aligns with all relevant funding contracts and grant agreements are administered effectively.
- Oversee the integrity of the process and content of data collected by team members on participant progress and achievement for the reporting of program outcomes to funders, finance and program evaluation.
- Review, adjust, implement, and monitor program operational and evaluation plans.
- Oversee the financial operations of the programs and adherence to the agency budget. Provide direction and approvals to personnel about program expenses, timesheets and expenses.
- Coordinate the collaboration of agency team members and community partners to provide optimal programs and services to participants.
- **Supervisory Responsibilities**_
- Lead assigned staff portfolio and projects with intentionality, creativity, accountability, effectiveness, and efficiency.
- Monitor and review participant and staff data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency to ensure that files meet agency requirements for accreditation, evaluation and reporting.
- Ensure compliance and completion of any legal documentation (ex. Critical Incident Reports and Occupational Health and Safety documentation) are processed properly and promptly according to policy.
- **Community Development and Stakeholder Engagement Responsibilities**_
- In consultation with the Director, plan, initiate, coordinate innovative program development activities that will fulfill the deliverables and activities of Expanding Hope.
- Develop and implement a stakeholder engagement strategy for organizations/services that serve young parent populations throughout Alberta.
- Consult with Terra Communications Lead to create and share Expanding Hope material for organizations/services that serve young parent populations.
- Develop and steward relationships that are central to the continuation and/or expansion of the service delivery.
- Participate in external meetings as a representative of the Terra Centre Leadership team and relay relevant information back.
- Facilitate and present, both virtually and in-person to build capacity throughout service professionals.
**Qualifications**:
- Degree in human service field with extensive knowledge, experience and competence in child and youth care practice, family support practice, and community capacity building. Combination of diploma and professional experience may be considered.
- Previous management and supervisory experience, and strong skill sets related to developing, supporting, coaching, guiding and evaluating staff; over 3 years' experience is an asset.
- Experience working with youth and an in-depth understanding of the needs and issues related to youth exposed to vulnerable life circumstances; over 5 years' experience and specific knowledge of pregnant and parenting teens is an asset.
