**About the job**

**Key Responsibilities**:
Research, Analysis, Writing & Portfolio Management:
The job will assist the portfolio manager in all aspects of the investment process, including:

- Fundamental analysis
- Screening, due diligence, and monitoring
- Creating, running and updating screens
- Gathering background information on potential investments
- Preparing a detailed review of the financial statements
- Creating and updating models
- Participating in due diligence and earnings call
- Providing input into buy/sell decisions
- Writing investment summaries on companies, monthly and quarterly commentaries

**Position Requirements**:

- Minimum 2-3 years working for an Asset Management firm and/or a successful portfolio management team
- Experience in equity research focusing on the North American markets (US and Canada)
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA Designation)
- Undergraduate degree in Finance or Commerce preferred
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office
- Good working knowledge of the Google suite of products is also an asset
- Proficiency in modeling, financial analysis and business valuation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A track record of success
- An entrepreneurial spirit
- Proficiency in Capital IQ and Bloomberg a plus
