The Payroll Administrator is based in Markham, Ontario with hybrid work from home/in-office ability and typically reports directly to the Payroll Manager. Their primary focus is performing tasks and responsibilities related to processing hourly (unionized) payroll under the direction of the Payroll Manager. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Accurate and timely processing of weekly timesheets
- Setting up new employees, handling terminations and ROEs using HRDC WebROE
- Processing of payroll payments via direct deposit
- Respond to payroll inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
- Annual preparation of T4s
- Ability to work with unions, interpret and update wage schedules, burden tables, and monthly union reconciliation
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy

**EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**
- Completed PCP designation with NPI
**WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**
- 2+ years of work experience in Payroll
**SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS**
Knowledge and understanding of:
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a deadline driven environment
- Unionized payroll exposure an asset
- Microsoft Excel - intermediate including vlookup, pivot tables etc
- JD Edwards or ERP system in-house an asset
