We’ve recently set an exciting 2040 carbon neutrality goal, in addition to 10 other sustainability initiatives, and we take pride in working with our customers to optimize their businesses and achieve their goals.- Our starting rate is 23.45/hour with Health and Dental benefits and RRSP participation starting Day 1.- And we provide all the training needed to be successful. Premium of an additional.54 cents for a second skill and $1.04 will be paid for the third usable skill outside of your classification.- We are seeking a new full crew of Production Operators to work on the production floor of our Cornwall Site. It is a steady overnight shift and responsible to manufacture paint and coatings for our industrial products line.- The primary function of this entry level role is to hand or machine wash various vessels. Then as the business needs require you can post to higher paying positions and get additional training so that you can safely progress in our team.- The entry position will act as a helper and move around to other jobs at the site to assist team members by performing other tasks where needed.
- Position duties and responsibilities can change regularly based on business needs.
- The position is full-time shift work (40 hours per week).
- The shift is a steady overnight shift from 11:00pm to 7:00am.
- There may be opportunity for overtime once fully trained.
- Keen focus on safety performing all duties in a safe working manner and following all Axalta’s safety policies and procedures
- Learn about Axalta Coatings System and promote safety, qualtiy and sustainability
- Qualifications:
- A minimum high school or equivalent diploma
- Previous experience in manufacturing or chemical industry an asset
- Training provided for all positions
- Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs and roll 500lb drums
- Physically fit and without a beard/ mustach so is able to wear a respirator as needed
- Full range of physical motion is required (push, pull, twist, bend, lift, reach up/down)
- Ability to read and write English and follow written and verbal instruction in English
- Flexible and willing to learn new skills
- Strong team player with positive attitude
- Fast learner who is self-directed and adaptable to change and frequently shifting priorities
- Able to get and maintain a lift truck license (training provided)
