As the Learning and Development Specialist supports the design, development, delivery and continuous improvement of all training needs to new and existing employees within the Sales Centre department. The role will ensure that reservation agents have the required skills, knowledge and resources to efficiently and effectively support the Sales Centre and business objectives

**What You’ll Do**:

- Maintain product knowledge and keep current with processes and procedures.
- Ensure engagement through a variety of training methodologies and techniques to ensure training effectiveness and participation in training.
- Facilitate various types of in-class, web-based and virtual training, including new hire, soft skills, product, and initiative training that integrate adult learning principles.
- Regularly measure and provide feedback on the effectiveness of all training content based on delivery, post-training evaluations, assessments/knowledge checks, and observation.
- Support the Content Author(s) with updating the Library/Knowledge Base for the Sales Centre as needed.
- Create a safe environment for learners to give and receive real-time feedback to reinforce positive behaviours.
- Monitor and coach new hires during the training period, activity monitoring performance, attendance, and overall fit for the position
- Complete New Hire review including attendance and performance concerns with Training and Development Managers, HR and the Sales Centre manager to identify risks and impacts.
- Assist in the design and development of training content in multiple formats including instructor-led, webinars, video, job aids, role play, games, and multimedia visual aids to maximize learning transfer and retention.
- Collaborate with the Training Manager and other departments within the organization to create ongoing learning opportunities for existing employees to maximize learning transfer and retention.
- Effectively maintain training-related documentation and supporting materials to ensure the content is current and relevant to the business and Sales Centre objectives.
- Maintain and manage e-learning systems and content.
- Support the maintenance of a complete and current repository of all training-related documentation and supporting materials.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of departmental training programs focused on product knowledge, sales & service to increase or retain learner capability.

**What You’ll Need**:

- Previous experience facilitating training courses
- Instructional Design (including e-learning development using Storyline or other e-learning systems)
- Coaching and performance management experience
- Curious and passionate about continuous learning
- Critical thinker and creative
- Capable to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
- Able to work in an environment that is in the process of maturing and advancing.
- Bilingual (English and French) is an asset
