Position Summary We are looking to hire several Child & Family Development Aides (CFDAs) to work as part of our in-home programs funded through Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD). This is a part-time position, working Monday through Thursday within our programming hours of 10am-12pm, 1-3pm, and/or 4-6pm, for a total of 9-27 hours/week (exact hours dependent on your availability; hours would remain consistent week over week). This position will work out of families’ homes in Calgary.

The Child & Family Development Aide’s main responsibility is to plan and implement activities to target the child’s individual goals as outlined in their program plan under the direction of the service delivery team, supporting both the development of the child as well as the family unit. As a key member of the FSCD team, the CFDA exemplifies Pacekids’ values of collaboration, learning, respect, integrity, and accountability, and plays an integral role in fostering a team that shares Pacekids’ vision and mission. The CFDA works closely with many members of Pacekids’ FSCD team, including Supervisors/Coordinators and Therapists. Diplomacy, tact, discretion, and conflict resolution skills are necessary as this position has access to highly sensitive and confidential information.
