CASA is a trusted non-profit organization delivering holistic, culturally safe wrap-around mental health services to children (3-18) and their families in Alberta. We do this through a team of specialized mental health professionals who are trauma experts committed to delivering outcomes-based programming in collaboration with community partners. CASA’s vision is a community where all children, youth and their families are provided timely mental health care and empowered to thrive.
CASA is currently looking for a quality and risk lead to join our Business Intelligence, Evaluation and Research Team. CASA is on an ongoing quality improvement journey to ensure that we can continue to provide safe and high-quality care for our patients and families. As the quality and risk lead, you will play a key role in leading CASA’s accreditation process, as well as planning and implementing organization-wide processes for quality assurance, improvement and risk management. We are looking for a dynamic professional who is committed to the principles of quality improvement, and is able to adapt well to and initiate change in the organization.
The quality and risk lead works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to lead the organizational accreditation process, and plays a key role in risk monitoring, quality assurance and improvement initiatives throughout the organization. Reporting to the manager, business intelligence, evaluation and research, the quality and risk lead will plan, implement and coordinate all aspects related to the organization’s accreditation cycle; promote and build awareness of accreditation and compliance activities among leadership and staff; and develop and implement organization-wide processes for quality assurance, improvement and risk management. The quality and risk lead:
- Leads the organization’s accreditation cycle and ensures ongoing readiness for accreditation surveys.
- Coordinates all activities as required to achieve and maintain accreditation status (e.g., preparatory audits, mock surveys, etc.).
- Collaborates with managers and staff in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to meet accreditation standards.
- Promotes and builds awareness of the accreditation process among staff and key stakeholders through communications and engagement activities.
- Contributes to the development and implementation of quality assurance and quality improvement processes and procedures for business and clinical teams.
- Contributes to the organization’s quarterly risk registry, risk monitoring system and associated processes.
- Acts as a key change agent and change management resource throughout the organization.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in business, health, quality improvement or a related field.
- Master’s degree in a health-related field (e.g., public health, social sciences, health sciences) is an asset.
- Significant related experience and training may be considered in lieu of education.
- Experience implementing and managing organizational change and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ability to communicate with teams/individuals in a wide variety of areas and at various levels of the organization.
- Collaborative and team-oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Formal training and/or certification in change management is an asset.
- Experience in quality improvement and process development is an asset.
- Experience with an accreditation program is an asset.
- Considerable knowledge of a healthcare accreditation preparation process is an asset.
