**Position Type**: Temporary Contract 22.5 hours per week (flexible schedule with some evening and weekend work as determined by participant/service needs)

**Term**: October 1, 2024- December 31, 2024

**Location**: Lower Mainland, BC (work will occur mainly from your home office virtually, occasional in person meetings may be required)

**Compensation**:$30.25 per hour

**Note**:The successful applicant will be responsible for obtaining their own WorksafeBC coverage

**Mandate**:
To provide support services to adults with developmental disabilities and concurrent disorders. The focus of the Assistant Project Manager is to:

- Lead the delivery of a program of sexual health outreach work, which targets individuals with developmental disabilities in the Metro Vancouver area and promotes improvements in sexual health and wellbeing. Delivery may be required in other areas virtually to support persons served who don’t live in the Lower Mainland.
- To raise the profile of community living work in the area by linking into networks and forums.
- To build an evidence base for sexual health work using learning, planning and evaluation tools and methodologies

- A strong commitment to the philosophy of people with disabilities living and working in the community
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with little supervision, with an emphasis on leadership, self-initiative, maturity and tact
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Demonstrated teaching and coaching ability
- Knowledge of the local community’s resources and services including housing, recreation, employment, addiction and mental health services.
- Some knowledge of alternate methods of communication

**You MUST have the following**:

- A diploma in human services and/or a related discipline or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Minimum one year experience in working with people with developmental disabilities and/or concurrent disorders.
- Clinical experience in the field of Sexual Health is an asset for this position.
- Class 5 driver’s license is preferred but not required; acceptable driving record
- Reliable car with $3 million business insurance
- Current Emergency 1st Aid and CPR certification
- Mandt System Training certification
- TB test clearance
- Criminal Record Check for Children and Vulnerable Adults - clearance

**YOUR** **Typical Responsibilities**:

- Complete qualitative interviews to collect data on the effectiveness of Real Talk programming. Arrange, schedule, conduct and transcribe 10 interviews for staff and 10 interviews for workshop participants.
- Involve people with a developmental disability in the design and delivery of sexual health interventions
- Maintain relationships with key partners
- Assist with periodic reporting of Real Talk to applicable sources (such as funders)
- Co-design and co-ordination of bi-annual video series (curating video topics, recruiting participants, stage managing shoot days, reviewing transcripts & raw footage, notifying of publication on website)
- Developing collaborative relationships with relevant service providers, and educational & health initiatives to broaden impact
- Work as part of the Team to participate in events, training and community development activity
- Record and evaluate the work using the appropriate methods
- Maintain a working knowledge of local and national guidance, policy and research relating to sexual health
- Work collaboratively with alliance agency member organizations
- Outreach to sectoral organizations to recruit participants for videos and/or interviews
- Understand and abide by the policies of the organization
- Attend team meetings, supervision and other meetings as required
- Participates in all aspects of the Health and Safety Program including safety and emergency procedures, in order to provide a safe work environment. Reports all concerns to the Team Manager.
- Scheduling, coordinating, and assistant in running annual program re-design with sexual health and peer contractors
- Attend Real Talk workshops as required.
- Performs other duties as required.
