U-Box Warehouse Workers are responsible for ensuring that our valued customers’ needs and expectations are met by providing them with friendly and courteous service. **U-Haul offers Warehouse Workers**: - Paid holidays, vacation, and sick days, if eligible - Career stability - Gym Reimbursement Program, if eligible - Opportunities for advancement - Valuable on-the-job training - Complete Benefit Plan, if eligible - RRSP payroll deduction plan - Deferred profit-sharing plan, if eligible - You Matter Program (EAP) - Mindset App Program - Wellness Programs - Discounts on Apple products, Dell computers, hotels, and more **Warehouse Worker Primary Responsibilities**: - Operate an 8,000-lb propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift (training provided). - Load and unload storage containers onto and off truck beds for delivery to and from a storage facility. - Ensure timely delivery. - Provide customer assistance, including the sale of support items and use of online dispatch and rental systems. - Perform customer-ready inspections of U-Box containers prior to dispatch and upon return. - Prepare, receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pickup of goods. - Ensure that the warehouse storage facility is clean, dry and secure. - Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University. **Warehouse Worker Minimum Qualifications**: - High school diploma or equivalent - Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a good driving record - Adhere to all local state (provincial) and federal vehicular regulations while driving **Work Environment**: The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields. **Physical Demands**: The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationery, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted. **About Us**: Since 1945, U-Haul has been serving do-it-yourself movers and their households. After World War II, there existed the widespread need for do-it-yourself moving equipment that would be available on a one-way, nationwide basis. U-Haul co-founders L.S.
