**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Assist in food preparation by washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables or other ingredients as directed by the kitchen staff.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
- Help with the cleaning of dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen items using appropriate cleaning methods.
- Support cooks and chefs in various tasks to facilitate efficient food service during busy periods.
- Ensure that all food handling practices adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management by keeping track of supplies and notifying management when stock levels are low.
- Participate in maintaining a positive team atmosphere by communicating effectively with kitchen staff.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.
- A passion for hospitality and willingness to learn about food preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of basic food handling practices is an advantage but can be taught on the job.
