**Position Summary**:
This role is responsible to lead the Greater Toronto Area distribution people, processes and systems for accurate, “On-Time In Full” picking and shipping to customers. The role is accountable to continuously improve all end-to-end operations within the distribution center affecting productivity, employee engagement, expenses, safety, quality, loss prevention, pick and inventory accuracy, throughout and space utilization. Directly leads a team of approx. 4-5 direct Supervisory employees and 40-60 indirect employees in the unionized distribution department. Carries out Manager responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Responsibilities & Duties Include but not limited to:

- Provides daily balancing of skilled labor across the warehouse, receiving and shipping activities
- Adjust full-time and temporary staff levels as required for business volumes
- Mentors and coaches Supervisory staff
- Works with his/her respective group to ensure overall company training needs are achieved.
- Creates and/or maintains an accurate and up to date skills development roadmap and competency model to support evolving business needs for both soft and technical skills.
- Lead, develop and mentor all direct reports; conduct performance management reviews on time provide meaningful feedback; establish goals and objectives for each team member in alignment with the broader organizations focus
- Proactively manage the levels of staff to sales volumes from receiving to shipping to returns
- Implement and continuously improve metrics for safety, productivity, accuracy, throughput, and capacity utilization
- Proactively monitor warehouse utilization and initiate actions to solve capacity issues
- Update product slotting to reduce travel time and improve capacity utilization
- Oversee cycle count program including variance research, root cause analysis, and reconciliation.
- Proactively manage the levels of staff to sales volumes from receiving to shipping to returns

- Conducts all work duties as per the Occupational Health & Safety Act & Regulations, the health, safety & environmental policies and Quality policies as established by Multy Home

**What You'll Bring To The Team**:

- College Diploma 2-year degree or technical training preferred
- Minimum 5 years of Distribution supervisory experience in a unionized, Consumer Packaged Goods environment preferred and experienced in union and non-union settings.
- Must be detail oriented and require mínimal supervision
- Ability to use sound judgment in decision making
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to problem solve
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Possess skills to develop and implement new procedures and policies to simplify and improve operations
