**Human Resources Generalist/ Payroll Administrator**:
**About Us - The Company**

TAG Hardware designs, engineers and manufactures consumer products for the modular furniture industry. Our 30,000 square foot manufacturing plant is located in South Surrey. The facility houses plastic injection molding machines, assembly work stations and a warehouse, where we assemble our patented products for delivery globally.

**About the Role - Job Description**

The **Human Resources Generalist / Payroll Administrator** interprets and administers HR policies, regulations and procedures; participates in the development of specific and organization-wide HR policies and procedures; analyzes and advises on HR trends and issues; provides technical advice and guidance to management and staff on the entire employee life cycle; administers company payroll.

Talent Acquisition
- Recruiting - posting (internal, external and SM), screening, booking interviews, supporting managers in conducting interviews, reference checks, managing billing from sites
- Onboarding - employment agreements, offer letter, NDA’s, ADP file set up, physical space and equipment set up and welcome gifts
- Orientation - safety videos, marketing videos, employee manual, testing and training, documentation of training, WorkSafe requirements

Talent Management
- Maintaining Current Employees and Systems
- Tracking of changing legislation and employment law in Canada
- Creating and maintaining job descriptions
- Maintaining ADP system, employee files, resources, managing all modules
- Payroll administration through ADP Workforce Now
- Tracking of work permits, SIN expiries
- Benefits administration
- Tracking employee certifications, steel toed shoes and payments (forklift, first aid, orientation, racking etc.)
- Tracking of company property keys etc.
- Performance Management - Releasing and Tracking Annual and New Hire Reviews - coaching managers to complete
- Annual Policy Review / Employee Manual Review
- Wage Reviews - research analysis and benchmarking, ensuring pay raises are documented and put into system properly
- Employee coaching and discipline
- Employee Complaint reviews and support of these processes
- Liaise with legal counsel as needed
- Termination and Severance packages

Workplace Health, Safety and Wellness
- Promote the health and safety of employees through an understanding of applicable legislation to increase organizational awareness, ensure compliance and manage risk
- Execute health, safety and wellness policies, procedures, roles and responsibilities for leaders and employees
- WorkSafe BC reports and filings, claims process, return to work plans and safety audits / injury prevention, managing orders

Employee Engagement - Organizing the Fun
- Birthdays - cards and treats
- Food trucks quarterly
- Christmas Party, decorating and events
- End of Fiscal Year Celebration (July 31)
- New employee welcoming and desk preparation

Employee Communication and Recognition
- Town Halls
- Creating a formal recognition program for staff

**About you - Competencies and Skills**:
**EXPERIENCE**
- At least 4 years of HR experience in an advisory, generalist or senior operational capacity
- Degree in Business/Commerce, Human Resources Management or related discipline
- Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation, Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation or equivalent
- Familiarity with Human Resource Management Systems, experience with ADP Workforce Now
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of Labour Relations Code and WorksafeBC Legislation
