Neecheewam Inc. has a **Program Supervisor**full-time position that is available at Strong Heart Eagle Healing Lodge. Shifts are part of rotating schedule: Monday 12-8pm, Tuesday 3pm to 11pm, Wednesday & Thursday 12pm to 8pm, Friday 3pm to 11pm. The applicant must be available for on call duties as needed. Salary will be as per the Collective Agreement. CSU is a secure, short-term four-bed crisis intervention program for females of all nations up to age 17. The CSU works in partnership with StreetReach, WPS to provide a safe place for females who are identified as at risk of sexual exploitation. This unit offers a safe, nurturing non-punitive environment for youth that are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or unable to cope. Examples of crises to which we handle and deal with are AWOL Tendencies, Drug/Alcohol Abuse, Sexual Exploitation.

**Neecheewam is a professionally staffed community-based organization** designed to meet the unique and individual needs of Indigenous youth requiring safe care. Treatment and healing from an Indigenous perspective will be realized through The Seven Sacred Teachings, which honour the universal values shared by all First Nations.

c) Encouraging and supporting the children and youth we work with in acquiring the knowledge, skills, and confidence to transition into responsible, productive adults.

**Qualifications Required**:

- Minimum 3 years of Supervisory experience combined with relevant post-secondary education. Experience working with children, at-risk and sexually exploited youth. Education of youth with addiction, substance abuse and trauma.
- Knowledge and appreciation of the Indigenous Culture, Traditions and Seven Sacred Teachings.
- Knowledge of the impacts of colonization and intergenerational trauma and issues affecting our children, families, and communities.
- Strong demonstrated Team Leadership and Advocacy skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, Verbal, Written and Organization
- Working knowledge of the Multi-Disciplinary Systems of Residential Care Child and Youth Resources, Child Welfare and Child Protection Standards/ Regulations.
- Appreciation for All Nations culture and work environment.
- Current Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse & Prior Contact Registry Checks are mandatory.
- Current standard First Aid & Level C CPR required.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Staffing responsibilities to include training new employees.
- Direct Supervision of the team
- Active program management & building maintenance to meet licensing standards and workplace health and safety.
- Conducting ongoing employee performance appraisals & training needs assessments.
- Developing and maintaining liaison relations with program collateral agencies and community networking etc.
- Oversee referral/screening & intake/discharge.
- Oversee shift scheduling & finance duties as well as other tasks as assigned.
- Reports directly to the Program Manager.

Pay: $25.80-$27.11 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
