At The Hungry Pooch, we are extremely passionate about the health of dogs and cats. We are Southwestern Ontario's largest provider of premium raw food. We also supply holistic supplements, toys, treats, accessories to people who love their pets like family.

We are looking for a part-time sales associate who will be responsible for ensuring customers needs are met by providing top notch customer service, information on pet products and overseeing point-of-sale transactions.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- **_A pet owner and/or have a love for animals_** **You are genuinely interested in their health, happiness and well-being.**:

- Ability to work flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including holidays, nights and weekends.
- **_This role works in a dynamic, fast paced retail store setting_**. Requires movement of large muscle groups (bending, twisting, lifting) to oversee duties of the role.
- At least 2 years’ experience in retail/customer service;
- Feed a raw food diet to their pets;
- A desire to learn about a wide range of pet products;
- Great communication & customer service skills;
- The ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs at one time, repeatedly;
- Ability to determine customer’s needs;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment;
**Your duties will include but are not limited to**:

- Providing information to customers in a friendly and professional manner;
- Assisting team in inventory stocking and merchandising;
- Following an excellent customer service culture by supporting our team;
- Assisting customers on the sales floor, on the telephone, as well as at the registers;
- Seeking to learn and grow through personal learning and development opportunities;
- Following store schedule and ensuring managers are aware of potential schedule changes; and
- Following our Vision and Mission Statement
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the store
- Receiving and putting away shipments
- Restocking & Merchandising
- Working the POS system
- Inventory Cycle Counts

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15-25 per week

**Salary**: $15.50 per hour
