**Position Details**- Meet with students, gather relevant background information, and review documentation of disability.
- Help identify barriers to full access in the university environment.
- Develop individual accommodation and learning plans.
- Prepare accommodation letters for faculty.
- Coordinate accommodations and services provided by ALC (e.g., exam accommodations - separate/private location, distraction control, extra time).
- Provide Alternate Format Texts (AFTs) and assistive technology (for example, Kurzweil, Dragon, Zoom text, digital recorders).
- Hire and coordinate Tutors, Strategists, and Educational Assistants.
- Provide educational information and guidance including referrals to departments and service units on
- and off-campus.
- Coach students to develop self-advocacy skills.
- Communicate with faculty and staff about working with students with disabilities, including facilitating full access and accommodations when necessary.

**Key Responsibilities of Manager**:

- Leadership and oversight over all departmental operations
- Human resource management
- Consultation with faculty and staff to ensure provision of accommodations
- Fiduciary oversight of departmental budget and grants
- Strategic planning and reporting

The University of Lethbridge is undertaking a job classification and compensation review for Administrative Professional Officer (APO) positions. As such, the salary range currently assigned for this position may be adjusted as a result of this project.**Position Qualifications**

**Qualifications, Skills, and Experience**
- Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field. A master’s degree would be considered an asset. Certification as a Learning Strategist is preferred, but not required.- o Leadership- o Advocacy, mediation, and diplomacy- o Coaching and mentoring- o Presenting, consulting, and collaboration- o Project and budget management
- A minimum of 3-5 years working in a related setting is desired, with experience working in a post-secondary educational institution preferred.**Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)**
- $73,110.48 - $91,972.76 annually

**Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)**
- $73,110.48 - $110,835.04 annually (APO - Grade 4)
