The role of the **Occupational Health Manager **is responsible to lead the strategy, program development and implementation of effective/professional occupational health services including Disability Management. The incumbent develops policies, practices, and procedures in accordance with applicable federal, provincial and state regulations while ensuring quality healthcare services.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead the Health Services team by coaching, mentoring, and developing their knowledge and skills in delivering effective/professional occupational health services for all Civeo NA employees. This includes assessment, diagnosis, appropriate treatment, referral, and consultation to employees who have suffered occupational illness/ injuries or are suffering from non-occupational medical issues.
- Promote, protect, restore, and maintain employees’ health within the context of a safe and healthful work environment.
- Ensure proper assessment of employee fitness for duty, post injury, illness and/or medical leave.
- Ensure proper pre-employment/post offer physical exams and testing, routine and required medical surveillance exams and testing are conducted in a timely manner, when applicable.
- Provide leadership in respect to the development, management, implementation, and evaluation of disability management programs. This includes collaborating with employees, managers, supervisors, union representatives, Labor Relations, the medical community, and insurance carrier with respect to return to work and accommodation issues.
- Ensure that employee medical leaves are managed with internal and external parties to meet employee health goals, while promoting and arranging for optimal return to work.
- Prime resource for safety and management in evaluating occupational incidents for trends, rates, hazard identification to develop collaborative recommendations for improved prevention and control of occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Identify best practices and incorporate these best practices into Civeo NA standards to continuously improve the treatment of employees. This includes educating employees where required, as well as appropriate consultation with union representatives, as applicable.
- Establish and maintain systems for health surveillance and monitoring.
- Coordinate jointly with safety and environment, risk assessment, including assessment and monitoring of the working environment, providing advice to management and recommendations on health hazards and their effective control.
- Provide Occupational Health advice, guidance, and training to managers/supervisors.
- Maintain all Occupational Health records always ensuring confidentiality.
- Prepare and interpret statistics that monitor accidents and ill health trends.

**Qualifications**
- Undergraduate Degree in Nursing
- Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) certification
- 5-10 years of experience in an occupational/employee health services and disability management environment in a corporate and/or multi-site organization
- Demonstrated leadership, management, and supervisory experience, including coaching, mentoring, and developing others in an occupational health work setting
- Full working knowledge of occupational health regulations, and disability management regulations
- Demonstrated business acumen and awareness of the importance of cost competitive solutions
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Self-motivated and high levels of resilience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work with multiple locations
- Innovative, articulate, ability to streamline systems and develop health & wellness programs
- Proficient in MS Office programs
