We are currently hiring for an Assistant Manager at Scarborough Town Centre

**Role Responsibilities**

The Assistant Manager provides support to the Store Manager in driving the business and assumes responsibility for the total store operations in the Manager’s absence. They lead by example in supporting an engaged selling culture by providing exceptional customer service and demonstrating salesmanship skills in order to maximize sales in the store.

The Assistant Manager reports directly to the Store Manager and works closely with the District Manager and the Retail Support team; they participate in all the essential duties, while adhering to all company policies, operation excellence and safety procedures. They collaborate with the Store Manager in areas of loss prevention, ensuring the company controls are followed for store cash (bank deposits, petty cash), and inventory management (stock receiving and shipping, inventory counts).

**Qualifications and Capabilities**

High school diploma

1+ years of retail management experience is an asset

Strong leadership skills

Customer-focused

Self-motivated

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to organize, prioritize, delegate and follow up

Computer literate and experience using cash systems

Demonstrate salesmanship skills

Coaching and monitoring ability

Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the business

Manual dexterity to perform tasks such as: working on ladders, moving boxes and furniture

Ability to bend and stand for 8+ hour workdays

**Compensation**

Structure includes base pay and sales commission

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
