Elias Custom Metal Fabrication is an industry leader in metal fabrication of elite custom products catering to a wide variety of corporate clientele. Our expertise has allowed us to excel in the production of high-end retail fixtures and displays, electrical enclosures and commercial/architectural work.

We are currently looking for a **CNC** **LASER AND PUNCH (COMBINATION) SET-UP/OPERATOR **to join our organization.

Hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5:30pm.

**Available to work afternoons and/or evenings considered an asset**

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate the punch and laser combination machine and monitor their displays and progress
- Follow standard procedure work instructions and work towards achieving assigned tasks
- Complete all aspects of set up and set up maintenance on the equipment being operated, including loading, installation and alignment of materials
- Perform parts nesting, load and set up programs from shop drawings with mínimal supervision or independently
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings and create forming sequence
- Follow written instructions, sketches, schedules, drawings and documents
- Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures
- Inspect own work and use inspection tools
- Operate forklift to load, unload and handle materials required to achieve job results
- Perform other related duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- 1-2 years' experience with turret punch and/or laser machine operation
- Must have knowledge of metal fabrication and experience with different types of metals (Ex. Stainless steel, Mild-steel and Aluminum)
- Must be able to perform parts nesting functions, load and set up program
- Experience operating a forklift to load and unload materials
- Experience working with different Trumpf machine models an asset
- Knowledge of tubing and plating an asset
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability and willingness to learn and be trained to learn new skills
- Good communication skills
